Welcome to KRRC

04.6.2013 - 52 runners showed up for the Boston Unity run on April 16th.

52 area runners / walkers showed up at the YMCA to head out on a 3 mile run through the city to raise awareness and show support for the victims in Boston.  We began with 26.2 seconds of silence before heading out for the run.  Seen here leading the run with the American Flag is Rick Loving, President of the Kankakee River Running Club.  Thank you to everybody who joined us for this event and for all of the support we received from cars and businesses as we ran by.

04.15.13 - From our President, Rick Loving.

I hope I speak for everyone from the Kankakee River Running Club when I say how deeply I am saddened by the events at the Boston Marathon today. Our prayers and well wishes go out to everyone affected by this tragic incident. As a runner, who has many times dreamed of running this historic race, the horrific loss of life, critical injuries and lifelong dreams that were destroyed by this act of evil is beyond any words of condolences....

Call to action from our Social Secretary - Stephanie Rogers

Calling any and all runners!! Whether you have run or walked ANY race!! In support of Boston wear a race shirt tomorrow!! If you can't wear a race shirt what about running shoes or compression socks?!? Lets show unity to fellow runners!!!
